Loop

Loop is a knockdown armchair which aims to respond to contemporary living requirements; nomadic culture and sustainability.

Part View

The chair is made from three prefabricated elements and four sections of Ash using two fabric loops to replace the need for traditional upholstery. Loop references traditional furniture elements through the timber frame creating a recognisable language, combined with interchangeable fabric loops it gives the user freedom of expression.

My goal was to redefine the archetype of the armchair to suit modern living within the needs of the environment. As sustainability moves to the forefront of peoples decision-making I believe furniture should reflect this.
